Thanks for all the lovely comments on my UFO post. It seems like most settle on three projects at a time. That sounds sane. I am not going for sane, though. I´m going for chaos! đ No, seriously, eleven is a little excessive, but I did actually finish one of them yesterday, as well as get some work done on the Aidez. But. I started a new project as well⌠So I´m back where I started! Oh,  well. What can I say, all this lovely yarn is  screaming at me “knit me, knit me! ” So what can I do but obey? Enough of that, I promised you…
Read MoreNow that is my question for you today. As I was organizing my yarn, it occurred to me that I have a giant stack of knitting UFO´s. I tend to start on projects, and then move on to something else (almost) right away. Actually that is just part of the truth, I have more UFO´s than usual. This year has been special. Because of some trouble I´ve had with my neck, I took a break from knitting for almost six months, from February until mid-July. This made my UFO pile larger. Because when I stopped knitting it was mid- winter, when I started again it was summer! You can imgagine, I…
Read MoreHello World! It´s been a long time since my last post, and it´s a little difficult to get back into writing. I have so many ideas for what to write about, that I don´t know where to begin! So I´ll start light, just posting a little board I made in one of the pads fancy apps, Moodboard. It contains sketches of what I made this summer, from June until a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be kind of fun to write something just today, for future reference. I’ve lived in Sweden on and off for eight years, and so the move back to Norway will be very exciting for me. My darling hasn’t lived in Norway before, so for him it’ll be all new. Although the differences between Norway and Sweden are few, it’s always fun to move to someplace new! I guess this is my way of announcing possible…

Hi there! I´m Sølvi Elise. Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. This is a space where I share my craft projects and thoughts and ideas concerning handmade in a consumerist world.
I live in Oslo, Norway where I use my spare time stitching up my own wardrobe. So far, I´d say that 80 % of my closet is filled with me-mades. I also have an interest in historical sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, leatherwork, tablet weaving, rigid heddle loom- weaving, cocktails, jewelry making, makramÊ, shoe making, drawing, paper craft, machine knitting and generally any craft that looks like fun.
