on the blog:
A backlog of unblogged craftiness is rapidly increasing here at Casa delfinelise. I have another pair of corduroys to show you, I’ve nearly finished a coat, and I have ventured into the magical world of shiva sticks, all without sharing it with you! What I have been most occupied with though, is knitting. I have made a meter of a Doctor Who scarf for my darling, I´ve finished knitting Wisdom (it still needs assembling), I´ve cast on a new cardigan and a pair of lace gloves. And so today I’m sharing some recent knitting projects that are actually finished, the Woodland Cowl (Ravelry link) and the Tabby Tam. Both are great, well-…
Read MoreLast night, while I was catching up on my reader, I was excited to read about a new social micropayment system called Flattr. It was Diane at CraftyPod who wrote about this initiative. Now, I love initiatives like this, and went ahead and registered myself as a user today. I love the concept of a Pay a Blogger Day. The concept is this, if you love a blog, go ahead and support it, whether it is by supporting them through Flattr, donate to them through their blog, buy something from their online store, or sign up to one of their classes. Think about it, not only is it…

I´ve been wanting to make a rust colored pair since seeing Carolyn´s version. I have already told you about the beginnings of these pants, so here comes the finished product. I used BurdaStyle Magazine 10-2010-110, omitting any back pockets and leather details. Just as for the shorts I made using this pattern, I got good help on zipper insertion from sewing goddess Sandra Betzina in this video over at Threads. I am pleased with the final product, and they came out the way…

Hi there! I´m Sølvi Elise. Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. This is a space where I share my craft projects and thoughts and ideas concerning handmade in a consumerist world.
I live in Oslo, Norway where I use my spare time stitching up my own wardrobe. So far, I´d say that 80 % of my closet is filled with me-mades. I also have an interest in historical sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, leatherwork, tablet weaving, rigid heddle loom- weaving, cocktails, jewelry making, makramÊ, shoe making, drawing, paper craft, machine knitting and generally any craft that looks like fun.
