By Sølvi Elise | 28/03/2012

So, this one week, one pattern thing isn’t really working out for me. It´s more half a week, one pattern. Or one week, plenty of patterns… I’ll tell you this much, this is not the time of the month to be wearing high-waisted pencil skirts, nuff said… I’ ll destract you with some awards instead! Both Donna and Mary have awarded me these past few weeks, and I haven’t been able to do anyting about it until now. Thank you so much ladies! So here it goes! OWOP: Day one

By Sølvi Elise | 24/03/2012

I don’ t think I’ve mentioned that I’m taking part in the One Week, One Pattern challenge. A bunch of sewers are wearing garments that are different versions of the same pattern for one whole week. Markal/Shiva Paint Stiks are awesome!

By Sølvi Elise | 06/03/2012

They are called Shiva in the US and Markal in the UK and here in Sweden. They are a little bit like giant crayons, you know, like the one designed for the littlest of kids, only they are filled with permanent oil based gorgeous color. I used them with a rose stencil that I made, and tested it out on both silk and denim. Just to see how the color responded to different kinds of fabric. This is…

Sølvi Elise is wearing a selfmade shirt and heavy glasses

Hi there! I´m Sølvi Elise. Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. This is a space where I share my craft projects  and thoughts and ideas concerning handmade in a consumerist world.

I live in Oslo, Norway where I use my spare time stitching up my own wardrobe. So far, I´d say that 80 % of my closet is filled with me-mades. I also have an interest in historical sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, leatherwork, tablet weaving, rigid heddle loom- weaving, cocktails, jewelry making, makramÊ, shoe making, drawing, paper craft, machine knitting and generally any craft that looks like fun.
