My slippers

My slippers needed a vacation, or actually, they needed retirement. My lovely, warm, cozy slippers needed a replacement. What to do?
Well, I digged out my crafting litterature, and in the Swedish book Do Redo : konsten att slakta en tröja, there they were, my new slippers made by recycling an old sweater.
I used some thick white woolen felt from Panduro for the soles, wich is nice and warm, and gives a great support.
Only trouble with this is that they are a bit slippery. For the upper part of my slippers I used parts of an old white woolen cardigan.
I once accidentally laundred it together with a dark green pillow case. This, off course, resulted in not so nice yellow-greenish spots all over my white cardigan. Luckily, I could cut out some parts for my slippers that didn´t have yellow-greenish spots. 🙂
For the lining, I used parts of an old worn-out bed sheet. I hand stiched the parts together.
For a decorative effect I used a turqoise satin band around the edges. My new slippers are warm and comfy and also eco- friendly. What could be better than that?
