Sewing in the dark

Like other northerners, I find it hard to find the time to get decent pics for my blog this time of year. I have tons of projects to show you, I´ve finished some knitting projects, I´ve made two dresses for myself, the muslin for my friends dress, almost finished a pencil skirt and started on the shirt I am making for my darling this Christmas.

Bellas mittens

One of the few evidences of my recent craftiness.

I´ve also written a lengthy  blog post about dressing in the winter. But, I keep forgetting to take pics in the few hours the sun is up. And then it really gets completely dark. Arrgh!

So I thought you should now that I havn´t stopped sewing, I am just waiting for some daylight.

Ooh, what lovely, cozy mittens! I’m really looking forward to your dressing for winter post – I could use inspiration. 🙂

Oh boy – I feel your pain. It’s lovely and summery down here but I’ve had an endless stream of family staying for the last month and I’m too self conscious to take photos in my usual spot with them all sitting around!

Pretty mittens!! It’s really dark here in the winter too.

Your trip to New York sounds fun! Take lots of pictures 🙂

Those mittens look beautifully warm and cosy. How much daylight do you get during winter? Here, even in the middle of winter, we get heaps of bright sunshine and daylight still… but during summer (now) we get the problem of too much sun and heat!! Completely different challenges to the ones you face!

@Sarah: Thank you! I´ll try to post it soon!
@Alana: I know how you feel, I had the same situation this summer, so I tried to find some peaceful spots where no one was around.
@Amy; Thank you! I will try and take tons of pic, yup! I am really looking forward too it.
@Carolyn: We get about six hours of daylight at this time of year, but the poor guys further up the country don´t get any sun at all. But as a consolation they get sun 24 hours a day in the summer… I can´t even imagine how it would be to have too much sun and heat. I really would try to live in a part of the world where that is the problem, just too see how it feels like! 🙂
